SAS Rocker Panel Bumper Installation Guide Below:

Typically shipped as shown:

Two heavy steel brackets each with one rubber bumper pad, one retaining bar, two bolts and two locking nuts, one u-bolt, with two nuts, and two lock washers.

Step 1: Remove nuts and washers from u-bolt, pull u-bolt out of bracket.

Step 2: Set bumper on fork. (Do not remove forks from machine to do this.  This photo is shown just using a fork for simplicity of taking the photos)

Step 3: Push bumper tight against elbow in fork.

Step 4: Slide u-bolt up from back, wrapping the u-bolt under the lower bracket on the back side of the fork.

Step 5: Install the lock washers and nuts on the u-bolt and tighten evenly.

Step 6: You're done. Top view and side view shown.

Step 7: Use your forklift for hauling cars sideways.  Tips to get the best results for SAS ROCKER PANEL BUMPERS: Carefully slide forks under the side of a car, keeping the tips of the forks low, but the carriage a bit off the ground.  You want to stop before the bumpers go under the side of the car.  Slowly lift, tilt the forks back about 15 degrees.  While monitoring the load and your work area, slowly transport care to the desired destination.  The goal when using these rubber bumpers is not to hit the rocker panel against the bumper when approaching the car, but have the rocker bumper provide protection, to prevent the car from sliding back against the carriage while you are transporting the car.  Please contact us at 1-877-727-3675 if you have any questions.  We appreciate your business and comments on how we can improve our products.
